Nearly every residential property has the benefit of either a garage or an exclusive allocated parking space.  Once this space is occupied, all other vehicles must either park in the visitors' parking spaces or in the multi-storey car park.

The free multi-storey car park is outside the residential area and shared by the general public.  The visitors' spaces are inside the protected area and clearly marked.  Access to this area is through lifting barriers and the control is at the exit.  Note that, at weekends, these visitor spaces (marked with a V) are subject to parking controls.  Residents are issued with a number of scratch-cards which must be displayed on the vehicle between 00:01 Saturday to 23:59 Sunday in order to avoid monopolisation of spaces.

Residents are provided with two passes for the occupiers and a supply of exit vouchers for use by guests and tradesmen.

Others may park inside this area free for the first hour and £5 per hour or part hour thereafter.
